The Opportunity: Streamline back office operations for coffee shops
Payroll is non-negotiable for almost any small business because hourly workers, which make up a majority of coffee shop employees, present a unique set of complexities and challenges for business owners. Before Dripos, coffee shops had to rely on legacy payroll services that didn’t account for the nuances that affect hourly work and coffee shops in particular: tip calculation, overtime pay, unlimited payroll runs, and more. The coffee industry had no single solution dedicated to them.

However, after setting out to build payroll on their own, they quickly realized that building and managing the complexities of payroll was proving to be more difficult than anticipated. Building all of it on their own wasn’t going to work.
